Woodie L. Boyette, 90, of Topeka, KS, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at his daughter's home with family by his side. He was born April 24, 1931 in Hamilton, AL, the son of Howard and Effie L. (Smith) Boyette.

Woodie was a proud member of the United States Air Force. He retired as a jet engineTechnician Sargent after serving 14 years in Active Duty; Forbes Field in Topeka for the 90 ^th B-47 Bomb Wing. He also served 8 years for Air National Guard- 190 ^th Air Refueling Unit.

Woodie worked for Goodyear Tire Company, retiring after 25 years.

He married Darlene G. King on December 7, 1951 in Topeka, KS; she preceded him in death on April 4, 2017. They celebrated over 65 years of marriage.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lois Parker and 3 brothers, Woodrow, Hank and Howard, Jr. Boyette.

Survivors include his 6 children, Philip Boyette of Topeka, KS, Paul Boyette of Spring Hill, KS, Pat Compton (Stan) of Topeka, KS, Pam Compton (Daryl) of Topeka, KS, Paula Fox (James) of Topeka, KS and Page Lollman (Mike) of Broken Arrow, OK.; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Burial with Military Honors, conducted by Grahem-Herbers V.F.W. Post 3084, will follow at Ozawkie Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
