Wilma Marie Welch, 84, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013 in Lincoln, NE at her son's home.
She was born on August 30, 1928 in Moran, KS the daughter of Harry L. and Effie M. (Myers) Young. She married Lyle B. Welch on July 20, 1948. He survives.
Wilma graduated from Manhattan High School. She had lived in Holton, KS; St. Joseph, MO and Lincoln, NE. Wilma was a homemaker. She had attended the First Christian Church in Holton.
She is also survived by; three sons, Robin L. Welch of Lincoln, NE, David L. Welch of Salida, CO, and Kevin L. (Lynn) Welch of Savannah, MO; five grandchildren, Jessica (Steven) Wells, J.D. Welch, Lara Welch, Aubrey Welch, and Erin Welch; two great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Welch and Colton Wells; and two brothers, Paul Justus (Pat) of Amherst, NH, and Larry Justus of Salina, KS.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton with Rev. Dr. Ronald Cobb officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Memorials may be given to the Nature Conservancy, a charitable environmental organization in the United States, and may be left in care of Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton 66436.
