William Eugene "Bill" McCall, 75, of Litchfield Park, AZ, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born April 25, 1948 in Garnett, KS, the son of Cecil and Elsie (Atwood) McCall.
Bill graduated from Westport High School in 1966. He was a pipefitter for 30 years at General Motors and a Farrier for 40 years.
Bill was a member of Crossroads Cowboy Church of Perry, KS, Boy Scouts of America, Eagle Scouts, Tribe of Mikasa of Kansas City, MO and Pipefitter Union 533.
He enjoyed training and breaking horses, roping, trail rides, archery and hunting in the Colorado mountains.
Bill married Catherine Rueckert, they later divorced.
He married Betty Lou Frakes, she survives of the home. Other survivors include sons, Shawn McCall (Leah) of Waterford, MI and Toby McCall (Jennifer) of Pleasant Hill, MO; stepsons, Rick Frakes (Jeanie), Rusty Frakes (Stephanie) and Ray Frakes all of Valley Falls, KS and Rod Frakes of Litchfield Park, AZ; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Kimball of McKinney, TX and Linette Marcotte of Raymore, MO and many beloved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Elsie McCall; sister, Cecilia VanVelzen; brother-in-law, Allan Marcotte and nephews, Bill Kimball, Jr. and Jeff Marcotte.
Celebration of Life will be 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Crossroads Cowboy Church, 1255 Oak Street, Perry, Kansas 66073. Memorials are suggested to Crossroads Cowboy Church Youth Rodeo Camp in care of the church.
