William L. "Bill" Koon, 64, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Medicalodge Jackson County. He was born November 30, 1945 in Wichita, KS. He was the son of Wilbur W. and Jessie Farnsworth Koon. He worked installing drywall and as a dealer at Harrahs Prairie Band Casino.
Bill married Lois Lake on March 1, 1980 in Topeka, KS. She survives. He is survived by his sons, Don Koon of Hoyt and Richard Koon of Ft. Collins, CO; step-children, William Thoman of Tucson, AZ, Cindy Radebaugh of Mesa, AZ, Donald Thoman of Mayetta, KS, Connie Fayhe of Topeka, KS, and Tamara Haneline of Paola, KS; sisters, Linda and Evelyn; 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Bill was cremated. A memorial graveside service will be held at the Mayetta Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Association c/o Mercer Funeral Home, PO Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
