JACOBS
HOLTON- William C. Jacobs, 96, of Holton, passed away Monday, May 22, 2006 in Holton. He was born August 17, 1909 in Holton, the son of Otto W. and Anna Olbrich Jacobs.
Bill graduated from Holton High School in 1927 lived all but 4 years of his life in the Holton community. He worked for Joe Evans Implement Company for 7 years before moving to San Francisco in 1941 where he worked for Addressograph Multigraph until 1945. When he returned to Holton, Bill worked for Morlan Furniture Store in Holton for 5 years before going to work for Goodyear Tire & Rubber. He retired from Goodyear in 1974 after 23 years.
Bill was a member of the Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton. He was a member of Holton Masonic Lodge #42, Columbia Chapter #152 O.E.S., Holton Lions Club and I.O.O.F. all in Holton.
He was married to Holice Lorene Alley on September 4, 1937 in Holton. Holice passed away on March 3, 2005. He was also preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Survivors include his son, William Robert Jacobs of Las Vegas, NV, his sister, Lois Maxine Fuller of Gresham, OR, his brother, Clinton Otto Jacobs of Tucson, AZ, his grandson, Christopher William Jacobs of Sacramento, CA, his granddaughter, Kim Brown Sims and great-granddaughter, Mikenna Sims both of Winters, CA.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2006 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
