HOYT- Willard Ivan Duffield, 85, of Hoyt, KS, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at The Pines South. He was born February 15, 1935 in Hoyt, KS, the son of Brice C. and Laura (Bolz) Duffield.

Willard graduated from Denison High School in 1953. He was lifelong farmer and stockman. Willard was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Valley Falls.

Survivors include his 9 nieces and nephews, Carlos Tichenor (Jerie) of Hoyt, KS, Pam Mitchell (Randy ) of Nebraska, Esther Askren (Mark) of Hutchinson, KS, Curtis Tichenor (Kim) of Colorado, Dennis Tichenor (Jo) of Valley Falls, KS, Lori Hinman (Lee) of Valley Falls, KS, Galen Call (Jeannette) of Woodbury, MN, Steve Call (LeEtta) of Shawnee, KS and John Call (Cindy) of Olathe, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brice and Laura Duffield; a sister, Thelma Tichenor; a brother, John F. Duffield; and a niece Susan Mitchell.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2020 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Valley Falls. Burial will follow at the Muddy Creek Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Memorials may be given to the Calvary Baptist Church c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
