Wilbur Gene Wilson, 63, of Holton, KS passed away December 23, 2012 at Medicalodge Jackson County in Holton. He was born July 11, 1949 in Holton, the son of Wilmer "Hack" Ross and Edith Ida (Thornton) Wilson.

Wilbur graduated from Holton High School in 1967. He worked repairing and refinishing furniture in Holton for all of his life mostly at the White Barn.

He married Judy Linderman, they later divorced. He married Mary Pat Askren they later divorced. He married Catherine Ernzen in 2002 and she preceded him in death on February 2, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his father, Wilmer Wilson in 1999.

Survivors include his mother, Edith Wilson of Holton, KS; a daughter, Rebecca Robinson (Gary) of Tonganoxie, KS; a son, Travis Wilson (Tempie) of Haysville, KS; 2 sisters, Rowena Horr of Topeka, KS and Anita Eby (Gene) of Mayetta, KS; a brother, Willard "Willy" Wilson (Dianna) of Holton, KS; eight grandchildren; a companion Betty Mullin of Holton, KS and many nieces and nephews.

Wilbur was cremated. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment will be in the Holton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Aspergers Research c/o Mercer Funeral Home P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
