WILBUR H. BRAUM
Wilbur H. Braum, 94, Denison, died Friday, February 10, 2006, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
He was born September 29, 1911, at Denison, the son of Creswell and Sarah McCrory Braum. He graduated from Denison Rural High School in 1929 and was a lifelong resident of the Denison area.
He was a farmer and stockman, and also drove a school bus for 26 years for Denison and later Holton schools. He was a member of the Denison Reformed Presbyterian Church. In his younger years he sang in a mixed quartet for church and community activities.
He married Anna Marie Pitsche on June 25, 1942, at Denison. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Braum, two sisters, Allie More and Grace Howard, a son-in-law, Elwin Carter, JR.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Marie, of the home, a son Dr. Roy Braum, DVM, Easton; two daughters Marilyn Carter and Joanne Braum, both of Topeka, and one grandson, Curtis Braum, Topeka.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at the Denison Reformed Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at the Denison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm, Monday, until service time.
