Topeka- Wavel Fern Pace, 81, formerly of Mayetta, passed away August 8, 2010 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. She was born December 19, 1928 in Arrington, KS the daughter of Charles and Vina Purcell Phillipi. She attended Effingham High School and was a homemaker. She had lived in Mayetta before moving to Topeka in 1994.
Wavel married Howard Pace in January 1974 in Leavenworth. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Becky Eigenman of Topeka; a sister Helen Hitchens (Lloyd) of Topeka; a brother Wayne Phillipi (Peggy) of Tennessee and one grandson David Eigenman of Topeka. She was preceded in death by a son, David Pace in 1984.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2010 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Denison Cemetery.
