Hope Hull, AL – Wanda Theresa (Hurla) Harris, 76, of Hope Hull, AL, previously of Kansas City, KS died Monday, October 16, 2006 at her home. She was born February 21, 1930 in Kansas City, KS. She was the daughter of Henry and Nona McClain Hurla.
Mrs. Harris graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1948. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in her nursing class with a B.S. in Nursing and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Dayton in 1956. And later she obtained her masters in hospital administration.
She married Joe Harris in 1965 in Cincinnati, OH. He survives. Other survivors include 4 sisters Bernadine Hirth of Cincinnati, OH, Barbara Boots of Prairie Village, KS, Rita Schuster of Morrill, KS, LaVeta McQuade of Stockton, CA; a brother, Jerome Hurla of Leavenworth, KS. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Alice Joan Johnson.
Funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2006 at the St. Dominic Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited ay 10:30 Friday morning at the church. Burial will be in the Mt.
