Wanda Lee Fernkopf, 87, formerly of Circleville, KS passed away February 23, 2014 at Medicalodge Jackson County. She was born January 22, 1927 in Soldier, KS the daughter of General Jackson "Jack" and Vinnie Lee (Shupe) Chrisman.

Wanda was a lifelong member of the Circleville and Holton Communities. She attended country schools. Wanda retired after 30 years from the State of Kansas working in the Department of Revenue. She also helped her husband, Warren, on the family farm. Wanda was a member of the Circleville Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star of Circleville.

She married Warren F. Fernkopf on January 26, 1951 in Holton. He preceded her in death on July 7, 1980. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill Chrisman.

Survivors include a sister, Sally (Jerry) Furry of Blossvale, NY; nieces and nephews, Harmon (Deb) Rash of Holton, Michael (Kay) Rash of Circleville, Ronnie Chrisman of Holton, Jerry Chrisman of Versailes, OH, Kent, Terry and Roxana Furry and Bridget Kohler all of Blossvale, NY; local great-niece, Micah (Justin) Moore of Holton; local great-nephews, Austin (Nikki) Rash of Holton, Jason (Rebecca) Rash of Osborne and Trent Rash of Manhattan; local great-great-nieces, Ava, Alexa and Kassidy; local great-great-nephews, Mark, Jarrett-Wayne and Bennett and many more nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services.
