Virginia Ross Ray, 93, formerly of Ligonier, PA, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at F.W. Huston Senior Living Center at Winchester.

She was born Jan. 16, 1922, at New Florence, PA, the daughter of Robert A. and Nevada Snodgrass Ross. She graduated from Ligonier High School and Grace Martin Secretarial School in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church at Ligonier.

Virginia was a secretary for Gulf Oil Co. in Pittsburgh. At Ligonier she worked with her late husband, Glenn, to establish and operate Glenn F. Ray Insurance and Real Estate.

She married Glenn F. Ray, in 1946, at Ligonier. He died in 2007. She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Edith Ross, Nora Muir, Evelyn Matson, Loraine Murphy and Roberta Reed.

Survivors include three daughters, Joyce (Michael) Bussler, Pittsburgh, PA, Marjorie (Richard) Lauger, Luverne, MN, and Carol (Jim) Braum, Valley Falls, KS; a son Kevin Ray, Georgetown, KY; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Winchester Reformed Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Inurnment will be at a later date at Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
