Virginia Frances Monson, 83, of Hiawatha, KS, formerly of Holton, KS, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Hiawatha. She was born September 24, 1941 in Granada, KS, the daughter of Leonard Andrew and Doris Irene (Guffy) Adams.

Virginia attended Wetmore High School. She was a homemaker and housewife.

She was a member of the Larkinburg Christian Church.

Viriginia married Russell "Stanley" Monson on October 11, 1958; they celebrated over 52 years of marriage before his passing on June 3, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Doris Adams; sister, Carol Naftzger and brother, Harold Adams.

Survivors include 2 sons, Bradley Monson (Loree) of Everest, KS and Brian Monson (Mitzi) of Overland Park, KS; daughter, Shari Brown (Ron) of Richmond, MN; sister, Sharon Bohannon (Bill) of Denison, KS; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the Larkinburg Christian Church. Memorials may be given to the Larkinburg Christian Church c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
