PATTERSON

Vera V. Patterson, 89, of Muscotah, died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at the Hiawatha Hospital. She was born December 19, 1916 at Glen Elder, KS, the daughter of Bruce and Cora Goodshaw Gaston. She graduated from Beloit High School in 1935.
She was married to Harold Patterson on December 6, 1936 at the home of her parents in Glen Elder. She moved with her husband to the Whiting community. To this marriage was born one daughter, Shirley. Vera was a member of the Whiting United Methodist Church and the Whiting United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, on May 24, 1990 and by her daughter, Shirley Thomas on May 6, 1988, and by her parents. She leaves to mourn her death, two granddaughters, Debbie Goodwin, her husband, Tony and their daughter, Rachel all of Whiting, Shelly Brown, her husband, Harold and their daughters, Alyssa and Ashley all of Whiting, a son-in-law, William Thomas and his wife, Rosa of Whiting, a brother, Joe Gaston and his wife, Ruby of Glen Elder and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Whiting.
