Tristan Wolf Shopteese, infant son of Russell and Michelle (Dunlap) Shopteese, of Meriden, Kansas passed away Wednesday March 30, 2011 at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Tristan was born with a congenital heart defect on February 2, 2011 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. He is survived by his parents, Russell and Michelle Shopteese, a brother Thomas Hawk Shopteese all of the home and his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Elke Dunlap of Topeka, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Stella Shopteese.
The family is grateful for all the support they received family and friends. Also, a special thanks to the staff, doctors and nurses on PICU Unit at Children's Mercy for believing a broken heart can be healed. A private Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date. In memory of Tristan, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Children's Mercy Hospital and may be left in care of Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box, 270, Holton, 66436.
