DENISON- Harold McCrory, 77, of Denison, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006 in Holton.
He was born March 9, 1929 in Sterling, Kansas, the son of Thomas and Lora McCrea McCrory. He graduated from Denison High School in 1947.
Harold was a dairy farmer and lived all of his life in the Denison community. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was decorated with a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church where he served as Deacon and later as an Elder. He also served on the Denison Cemetery Board for many years.
He was married to Elva Margaret Mann on September 5, 1955 in Idana, Kansas. She survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Linda Mierau and her husband, Cameron of Portland, OR and Barbara Harman and her husband, Dale of Denison, KS, his grandchildren, Ian, Jeff and Luke Mierau of Portland and Micah and Rachelle Harman of Denison.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Denison. Interment will be in Denison Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
