Thelma M. Greenfield, 91, of Holton, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at a Holton nursing home. She was born June 8, 1916 in Holton, KS the daughter of Leslie M. and Sylvia C. Clampitt Decker.
She graduated from Denison High School in 1933. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #85 in Littleton, CO. She worked for the Littleton School District for over ten years. She was a member of the Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton.
Thelma married William D. Greenfield on November 11, 1937 in Birmingham, KS. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1966. She was also preceded by a son, Donald D. Greenfield in December 2001. She is survived by a daughter, Leslie E. Greenfield of Stephenvile, TX; a sister, Mabel Lloyd of Holton; a brother, Leslie Cecil Decker of Yuma, AZ; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Cremation will follow the service and burial will be in the Denison Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Evangel United Methodist Church and sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
