Terry Lyn Craig-Horning, 67, of Holton, KS, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026 at The Pines in Holton with family by her side; after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born April 21, 1958 in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Earl Kenneth “Spud” and Laurel “Ruth” (Bontrager) Craig.

Terry graduated from Holton High School in 1976. During high school, she worked alongside her parents, Spud and Ruth, at Craig’s IGA.

For 31 years, she worked for Core First Bank and Trust as an Accounting Representative.

Terry was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Holton. She loved gardening, working in the yard, KU Jayhawks and finding the perfect onion ring with the “Onion Ring Gang”. The color orange was her favorite and anything Snoopy.

Survivors include her children, Craig Kathrens (Natalie) of Belton, MO and Casey Kathrens of Holton, KS and grandson, Avery Kathrens.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Celebration of Life will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the First United Methodist Church. Private family inurnment at the Holton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
