Sylvia M. Craig, 83, of Holton died September 1, 2010 in Silt, Colorado.
Born on December 19, 1926 in Bethune, Colorado, she was the daughter of Marion E. and Amy (Houser) Cody. She graduated from Kanorado High School and later attended Emporia State University. On April 29, 1948 she married James W. "Bill" Craig in Kanorado. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2009.
Sylvia worked for many years beside her husband at Craig's IGA and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Holton Saddle Club, Jobs Daughters, Order of the Eastern Star and First United Methodist Church of Holton.
She is survived by: her sons, Jim and Jeff Craig both of Holton, KS; her daughter-in-law, Terry Craig of Holton, KS; her 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter Janice Jameson in 1973, her son Jerry Craig in 2006, and her brothers, Jack and Willard Cody.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2010 at Mercer Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 9:30 until service time.
