SUSAN G. MITCHELL

VALLEY FALLS -Susan G. Mitchell, 54, Valley Falls, died Sunday, April 1, 2007, at her home east of Valley Falls after a long battle with cancer.
She was a Risk Management Specialist for the USDA Risk Management Agency in Topeka. She had worked for Kansas Power & Light in Topeka as a secretary from 1971-1977.
Susan was born Dec. 21, 1952, at Topeka, the daughter of Leo Carrol and Grace Clark Call. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1970 and was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Valley Falls.
She married Clinton Lewis Mitchell on Sept. 16, 1972, at Valley Falls. She was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, Janelle Mitchell, on Mar. 7, 1977, and also her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Louie Mitchell, her son, David Mitchell, and her daughter, Lindsey Mitchell, all of Valley Falls; her stepfather, John Duffield, Valley Falls; three brothers, Rev. Galen Call, San Jose, CA, Steven Call, Castle Rock, CO, and John Call, Phoenix, and her sister, Lori Hinman, Valley Falls.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Calvary Baptist Church, 910 Oak St., Valley Falls, KS.
