HOLTON- Steven Lee Taylor, 46, of Holton, KS died Thursday, September 3, 2009. He was born September 25, 1962 in St. Joseph, MO, the son of Allin Dale and Joy Hale Taylor. He moved to Holton in 1970 and graduated from Holton High School in 1981.
Steve worked as ground maintenance supervisor at the minimum security prison, located on the Topeka State Hospital grounds and later as a corrections officer for a number of years. He then owned and operated "Honey Do's" business for the past ten years.
He married Marsha Sadowski on August 31, 1985 in Holton, KS. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Joy Taylor of Holton, KS; a daughter, Jessica Lee Taylor of the home; a son, Jeremy Fox and his wife Megan of Holton, KS; a sister, Sherri Ladner and her husband Rob of Holton, KS; a brother, Allin Dale Taylor, Jr. of Holton, KS; 2 granddaughters, Natalie and Mallorie Fox.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Terri Jo Taylor Tuthill.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Memorials may be given to the Heart of Jackson Humane Society c/o Mercer Funeral Home P.O.
