Steven Joseph Freed, 65, of Holton, KS passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at his home. He was born April 22, 1952 in Hays, KS, the son of George Fredrix and Eileen Josephine (Schmidt) Freed.

Steven graduated from Mayetta High School and had lived all of his life in the Jackson County communities. He worked for over 20 years in the janitorial department for Washburn University and also at Kansas University.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his brother, Alfred Freed (Peggy) of Lee's Summit, MO and 4 nieces and nephews.
