Stacie Hackworth, 50, Topeka, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka.

She was born July 8, 1967, at Winchester, the daughter of Donald and Rita Aspinwall Shell. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1985 and had attended Kansas State University.

Stacie had worked in quality control and as a machine operator for 20 years at Hallmark Cards in Topeka.

Stacie overcame many medical challenges and always maintained a positive attitude. She was truly dedicated to her children and supported all their activities.

Survivors include her son, Jason Hackworth, and her daughter, Megan Hackworth, both of Topeka; her parents, Donald and Rita Shell, Valley Falls; her brother, David (Linda) Shell, Valley Falls; and her sisters, Donna Shell and Khristi Shell, both of Manhattan.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Burial will be at the Hart Cemetery, northeast of Valley Falls. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday.
