Shirley Mae Potter, 73, of Holton, died Sunday, October 11, 2009. She was born February 27, 1936 in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of William and Mae Fenn Gallagher. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Holton.
Shirley married Clarence O. Potter in 1957. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2008. She is survived by her children, David Potter of Kansas City, KS, Clifton Edward Potter of Lawson, MO, and Melody Lynn Potter of Kansas City, KS; brothers, Bill Gallagher of New Mexico and Dave Gallagher of Surprise, AZ; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Potter was cremated. Memorial services for her and her husband, Clarence will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Holton. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Gracious Promise, or Salvation Army c/o Mercer Funeral Home, PO Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
