HOLTON- Sherry Lee (Smith) Zibell, 58, of Holton, KS died Saturday, November 20, 2010 at her home. She was born October 2, 1952 in Leavenworth, KS the daughter of James B. "Jim" and Janice Marie Doss Smith.
Sherry was a high school graduate and had lived in Holton since 1977. She was a florist and enjoyed gardening, animals, music and dance. She was married to Marlin Zibell and they later divorced. She later married William "Stewart" Stewart. He survives. Other survivors include daughters, Sarah Bess Zibell of Holton, KS, Leah Stewart (Jason) of Topeka, KS, Jamie Bowser (Bryan) of Holton, KS; sons, Zachary Stewart (Heather) of Auburn, KS and Brent Zibell (Heidi) of Holton, KS; her sister, Merry Jan Burke of Holton, KS and her brother, Gerry James Smith of Klamath Falls, OR; grandchildren, Bradley, Blake and Brook Siemasko and Zedakiah and Analeah Stewart and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Zachary August Zibell in 1980; her brothers, Terry Edward Smith and Rocky Bentley; her sister-in-law, Penny Sue Jarvis; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Castle and her cousin, Grant Smith.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. The family will greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Sherry Zibell Memorial Fund c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
