Sheila Lorraine Dodd, 64, of Holton, KS, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at her home with family by her side. She was born May 10, 1958 in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, the daughter of George B. and Henrietta (Teeter) Smith.

Sheila attended Lansing High School. She had lived in the Holton community since 1991 and previously in Port Orchard, WA for 4 years.

Sheila was a proud Military Wife. She also worked for Casey's, making donuts and at Vintage Park as housekeeper. She was a member of SOLID Christian Church in Holton. Sheila was a loving wife and mother and her "pride and joy" were her 5 grandchildren. During the summers, Sheila and her husband Michael, enjoyed RV'ing and camping at multiple locations. A hobby and passionate interest were decorating and caring for her home.

She married Michael T. Dodd on December 14, 1974 in Leavenworth, KS; they celebrated over 47 years of marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Dodd of the home; son, William Dean Dodd (Katie) of Holton, KS; daughter, Brandy Armstrong (Steve) of Waynesville, NC; 2 sisters, Tina Smith and Christina Smith both of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Kim Smith of Oklahoma City, OK and 5 grandchildren, Thomas Michael Dodd, Zachary Allen Armstrong, Tucker Dean Dodd, Hannah Lorraine Armstrong and Roselyn Malena Lemus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Henrietta Smith; sister, Wesley "Babes" Worley and 2 brothers, Wendell and Vernon Smith.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the SOLID Christian Church in Holton. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
