Sharon Kay Hughey, 62, of Topeka, KS, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born March 30, 1961 in Virginia, the daughter of Enos Frank and Lola (Cox) Hughey.

Sharon grew up as a navy kid relocating many times, she attended High School in Oklahoma City.

Sharon enjoyed life, being a homemaker and having a good time. Some of her favorite enjoyments were music, collecting trinkets, dancing, playing pool, reading, the ocean and eating tacos while smoking a doobie, while laying next to her beloved dog, Sherah. She also loved her grandchildren and attending their various school and sporting events.

She married Thomas Samuel Ross III, to this union they had 3 daughters. They later divorced. Sharon has shared life with her companion Robert John Shaw, Jr. for over 30 years.

Survivors include her 3 daughters; Jamie Jones (Durante), Laura Ross and Jennifer Watkins (Jeffery) all of Topeka, KS; a brother, Donald Fitchett (Glenda) of Las Vegas, NV and 9 grandchildren; Anthony, Jasmine, Danielle, Lonzell, Jr., Hector, Eden, Mariah, Weston and Renee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Thomas Hughey.

Memorial Graveside Service will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Hoyt Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
