Sharon Kay Hartman, 72, of Wichita, KS formerly of Sabetha and Holton, KS passed away April 17, 2013 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center in Wichita. She was born January 15, 1941 in Holton, KS the daughter of Elmer "Joe" G. Hartman and Nellie (Stewart) Hartman Collins.
At the age of 3 years old, Sharon was very ill with measles and a high fever. This resulted in a handicap which limited her activities. It did not however limit her zest and spunk for life which was ever present. Sharon enjoyed her visits with family and good food was always welcomed.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Elmer (Joe) Hartman; a brother, Glenn Hartman and grandparents, Oscar and Bessie Stewart.
Survivors include her mother, Nellie Hartman Collins of Haysville, KS; a sister-in-law, Jean Ann Hartman of Peck, KS; a niece, Heather Hartman of Arlington, TX and 2 nephews, David Hartman of Plover, WI and Jacob Hartman of Wichita, KS.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Holton Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
