Obituary

Scott J. Grossoehme, 36, of Mayetta, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 in Topeka.
He was born October 7, 1969 in Grand Island, NE, the son of Kenneth L. and May Ducote Grossoehme. He graduated from Chapman High School in 1989.
Scott and his family lived in Mayetta. He served in the U.S. Army from 1990 -1994. He worked for Cargill Mills in Topeka. He was a former resident of Chapman, a member of the V.F.W., as well as a member of Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco workers, and Grain Millers International Union.
He married Meghann Hunt on April 8, 2002 in Olathe, KS. She survives. He is also survived by 2 sons Connor and Grant Grossoehme both of the home; his father and step-mother Kenneth and Jackie Grossoehme of Auburn, NE; a sister Shona Anderson of Omaha, NE; 2 brothers Kevin Grossoehme and his wife Jackie of Milwaukee, WI, Blaine Grossoehme and his wife Susanne of Baldwin City, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother May Grossoehme in 2003 and a brother Todd Grossoehme in 1972.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2006 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Indian Hill Cemetery in Chapman at 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2006. Family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Grossoehme Children's Educational Fund c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
