Sandra Lou "Sandy" Martin, 65, of Holton, KS, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 in Topeka, KS. She was born June 4, 1955 in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Jerry Duane Cochran and Doris "Jean" O'Neal.

Sandy graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 1973. She worked for Payless Cashways as a cashier and paint supervisor, State Hospital as a Mental Health Aide, Conger Dental and the State of Kansas in the Unemployment Division all in Topeka.

Sandy married Darrell Allen Martin on May 17, 1980 in Holton. They celebrated over 40 years of marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Darrell Martin of the home; her mother, Jean O'Neal of Holton, KS; a son, Christopher Christie (Jessica) of Topeka, KS; step-son, Robert Martin of Tijuana, Mexico; 3 sisters, Candace "Candy" Schmitt (Doug) of Horton, KS, Rhonda Toth of Horton, KS and Thresa Bontrager (Rusty) of Independence, KS; 2 brothers, Jay Cochran (Becky) of Holton, KS and William Daniel "Dan" Webster (Beth) of Whiting, KS and 4 grandchildren, Reagan Christie, Jaxson Christie, Trenton Henery and Emily Martin.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Duane Cochran, and a brother, Rickey Cochran.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be given to Mercer Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
