KANSAS CITY - Sally Jo Ham Burns, 55, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008 in KC, MO after a lengthy illness. She was born in Herrington, KS on Dec. 5, 1952 and grew up in Hutchinson, KS. She was a 1971 graduate of Hutchinson High School and 1972 graduate of Adela Hale Bus. School. Sally is survived by her mother, Dixie Rogers Wernet, Hurst, TX; four siblings-Bruce Ham, Hutchinson, KS; Teresa Sue Lambertson, Fort Worth, TX; Jennifer Svec, League City, TX; and Paul Ham, Hurst, TX; step-sister Denise Wernet, Plano, TX; step-brother Mark Wernet, N. Hollywood, CA; nephew Ben Krause, Austin, TX; aunt and uncle Linda and John Mellies, Kansas City, KS, numerous cousins, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Quinten and Deloris Ham, Hutchinson, KS; her stepfather Wayne Wernet, Hurst, TX; paternal grandparents Harold and Mabel Ham, Wetmore, KS; and maternal grandparents Tom and Elsie Rogers, Holton, KS. Sally will be remembered as beautiful, intelligent, and gifted with a generous heart, quick wit, and love of music and beauty. Memorial service will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008 at Wetmore United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Wetmore Cemetery, Wetmore, KS.
