RUTH FAY LOGSDON

Ruth Fay Logsdon, 95, Valley Falls, died Saturday, December 2, 2006, at Jefferson County Geriatric Center in Winchester.
Mrs. Logsdon was a cook at the Valley View Nursing Home in Valley Falls for many years. She was also a homemaker and had made 68 quilts during her life.
She was born on Jan. 11, 1911, at Oak Hill, the daughter of George E. and Gladys M. Stanley Sutton. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church at Norway and had attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Valley Falls.
She married A. Dale Logsdon, on Dec. 2, 1939, at Concordia. He died on Aug. 3, 1983. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, LeRoy "Bot" Sutton, Wayne Sutton and James Sutton, and two grandchildren, Stacey Heinen and Charles Heinen.
Survivors include a son Jerry Logsdon, and his wife Nadine, Valley Falls; two daughters, Dianne Heinen, and her husband Paul, and Joyce Brown, all of Valley Falls; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 pm, Tuesday, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls.
