HOLTON- Ruth Ellen "Skip" Langsjoen, 89, of Holton, KS, formerly of California, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the The Pines in Holton. She was born January 18, 1931 in Horton, KS, the daughter of Allen Baxter and Ruth (Broadhurst) Crow.

Skip graduated from Horton High School in 1949 and graduated from Kansas University in 1951 with an Associates Degree. She was a teacher in earlier years and later she was a manger for a medical office and also worked for a medical employment agency both in California.

She was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in California.

Skip married George Langsjoen in 1955; he preceded her in death in 1989. She was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Langsjoen and 2 sisters, Mary McManigal and Carol Woolston.

Survivors include 3 children, Susan Langsjoen, Nancy Langsjoen and Jon Langsjoen all of California; brother-in-law, Jack McManigal; 4 grandchildren, Brandon, Michael, Avery, and Sunshine; and many nieces and nephews.

Private Family Inurnment will be at a later date. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
