Roy Dean Murray, 70, of Soldier, KS, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at his home. He was born May 27, 1951 in Topeka, KS, the son of Roy Alfred and Clare Dean (Byler) Murray.

Roy graduated from Seaman High School in 1971. He lived in the Soldier Community since 2001. Roy was a certified welder. He worked on oil rigs in Louisiana and for over 10 years for Allis Chalmers in Topeka.

He married Karen Sue Owings on February 1, 1997 at Bucks Grove United Methodist Church. They celebrated over 24 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Karen of the home; sister, Cheryl Ann Henderson of Topeka, KS; 2 brothers, Robert Mack Murray of Topeka, KS and Thomas Milton Murray of Ozawkie, KS and brother-in-law, David Duane Owings (Debbie) of Grand Ridge, FL.
