Ronald O. "Ronnie" Gates, 63, of Topeka, KS, passed away July 16, 2024 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. He was born April 2, 1961 in Topeka, KS, the son of Kenneth Dean Gates and Isla Mae (Graves) Vogel.

Ronnie was a painter for commercial buildings and residences. Recently, he earned his CDL license. He had a love of motorcycles, fishing, water skiing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include 2 brothers, Craig Gates (Catherine) of Topeka, KS and Roy Gates of Huntsville, TX and many cousins.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2024 at Wheaton Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
