Roger L. Lewis, 68, of Topeka formerly of Holton died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at a Topeka hospital. He was born January 17, 1938 in Topeka. He was the son of Lawrence and Lorene Ruth Shafer Lewis.
He was an office assistant for disability determinations for the State of Kansas. He was a member of Topeka Church of God.
Roger married Peggy Hayes on June 7, 1991 in Hiawatha, KS. She survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Cynthia Bragg of Purdy, MO; sons, Gregory Lewis of Hoyt, Brian Lewis of Bella Vista, AR, and Steven Lewis of Bella Vista, AR; sisters, Jeanette McWilliams of Circleville and Colleen Lewis of Chino Hills, CA; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2006 at the Circleville Cemetery in Circleville, KS. Memorials may be given to Topeka Church of God and sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
