Obituary
Roger N. Jones, 70, of Holton, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
He was born August 10, 1942 in St. Joseph, Missouri the son of Nicholas G. and Gladys M. (Lowry) Jones. He graduated from Atchison County Community High School in 1961. Roger had worked at Grundeman Construction from 1962-1978, Holton Ready Mix from 1978-1985 and KDOT from 1985-2003.
On June 8, 1984 he married Nancy Allen in Holton. She survives of the home. Other survivors include: his sister, Juanita McFadin of St. Joseph, MO and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia and Carolyn and his brothers, Thomas and Robert.
It was Roger's wishes to be cremated. No formal services are planned and a memorial has been designated in Roger's name for Heart of Jackson Humane Society and may be left in care of Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, 66436.
