Obituary

Rodney Warren Brenner, 65, of Soldier, KS passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at a care home in Nortonville, KS. He was born June 7, 1947 in Holton, KS the son of Calvin W. and Marilyn H. (DeBusk) Brenner.

Rodney graduated from Seaman High School in 1965. After graduation he proudly served in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. He was an Aircrew Life Support with the Air National Guard. He later worked for Clark's Chevrolet as a parts manager.

Rodney attended Soldier Christian Church and was a member of VFW Post #1367, Soldier City Council and Soldier Senior Citizen Center.

He married Gail Barnes on February 3, 1973 in Topeka, KS. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his father, Calvin Brenner of Topeka, KS; 3 daughters, Nicki Curtis (Brian) of Holton, KS, Brandi Fritz (Matt) and Kyli Brenner both of Soldier, KS; a sister, Cindy Keeler (Stephen) of Tulsa OK and 8 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment with full military honors will be in the Soldier Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be given to the Rodney Brenner Memorial Fund (to be designated at a later date) c/o Mercer Funeral Home P.O.
