Obituary
Roberta L. Hobbs, 68, Valley Falls, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2012, at St. Francis Health Center in Topeka.
She was born on June 29, 1944, at El Centro, CA, the daughter of Rex and Lucile Berryman Brown.
Bobbi had worked in housekeeping most of her life. She had been a member of the Bible Holiness Church at Nortonville.
She married Doran V. Hobbs on May 25, 1963, at Long Beach, CA. They later divorced. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Staci Heinen.
Survivors include a son, Robert A. (Susan) Hobbs, Liberty, KS; a daughter, Delores (Scott) Heinen, Valley Falls; a brother, Ed Brown, Fernando Valley, CA; a sister, Diane Gunther, Fontana, CA; seven grandchildren, Jason (Kelly) Heinen, Steven (Jessica) Heinen, Stephanie Heinen & fiancé, Mike Ortega, Vanessa Heinen & fiancé, Chance Gier, Aaron Hobbs, Ashley (Chris) Robb and Andrew Hobbs; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Heinen; great-grandson, Alucard Heinen; one niece and two nephews.
A memorial service will be at a later date at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County District 11 EMS and sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, PO Box 6, Valley Falls, KS 66088.
