Robert "Bob" Steve Giles, Jr, 71, of Topeka, KS, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Stormont Vail in Topeka, KS. He was born February 11, 1952 in Toledo, OH, the son of Robert Sr and Irene (Toth) Giles.

Bob attended high school in Toledo, OH. He continued his education with night classes working on his EMT and Paramedic certifications.

He was a proud over-the-road truck driver for over 40 years. He spent many years team driving with his wife, Paula. They drove for Schneider National for 18 years. In Bob's younger days, he worked for the Jeep Assembly plant in Toledo and also served as Volunteer Fire Fighter and First Responder. When not working, he enjoyed boating, fishing, playing cards and a little gambling. He was also an avid collector of all sorts of trinkets displaying them all over the home.

On September 28, 1991, Bob married Paula Marie Stone in Las Vegas, NV. They shared over 32 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife Paula, of the home; 4 children, Michele Hill (Grant) of Glide, Oregon, Christopher Giles of Perrysburg, Ohio, David Hutchinson (Liberty) of Topeka, Kansas and Jared Coulter (Bethany) of Roseburg, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Tabor, Talla, Anna, Lucy, Sara and Zoe and 3 great-grandchildren Temperance, Joseph and Mariya.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Irene Giles; a brother, Michael Giles and a son, James Coulter.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS. Burial will follow at Shipshee Cemetery.
