Robert William Kottman, 85, of Holton passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012, in Neosho, MO. He was born July 22, 1927 in Falls City, NE, the son David O. and Carol Hern Kottman.

Bob graduated from Atchison High School and attended Benedictine College. Bob was a retired executive with Ford Motor Company. Bob served in the US Navy during WWII and Korea.

Bob married Gwendolyn Hare Sigmund on October 11, 1984 in Springfield, MO. She survives. He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Rider (Lance) of Pleasant Hill, MO, Ann Langston (Sam) of Galena, MO, and Dr. Virginia Richardson of Urbana, IL; a step-son; Leonard Sigmund (Anne) of Lebanon, OR; a step-daughter, Phyllis Shupe of Circleville, KS; grandchildren, Christina Langston, Bo Langston, Anna Benjamin and Rebecca Richardson; step-grandchildren, Vicki Hanley, Jeffrey Sigmund, Terri Teichroeb, Darryl Shupe, Dan Shupe, Darren Shupe and Derick Shupe; 6 great-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Kottman, and a step-son-in-law, Claude Shupe.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 at Mercer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Netawaka Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 until service time Friday.
