Obituary

Robert Earl Clark, 82 of Holton died Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at a Topeka hospital. Robert was born April 14, 1928 in Epsom, IN. He was the son of Robert Ernest and Bessie Mae Hardy Clark.
He attended grade school in Epsom, IN and graduated from Ashley High School in Indiana. Robert got his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nebraska. Robert then entered the United States Air Force and served 5 ½ years, 3 of those years as a flight instructor. After his military service he earned his Master's Degree from The University of Kansas. He was a math teacher and coach at Sawyer, Wilson and Sabetha schools. He then was the Principal at Wetmore Schools for 2 years and was at Jackson Heights Schools as Principal and Superintendent for over 20 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Holton Country Club.
Robert married Eunice Fiser on December 21, 1952 at Mahaska, KS. She survives. Robert is survived by his daughters, Gay Sperry (Jim) of Thornton, CO, Joy Schmidt (Paul) of Scranton, KS and Beth Krogman (Gary) of Silver Lake, KS; sons, Kelly Clark of Topeka, KS and Mark Clark (Susan) of Holton; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Clark was cremated. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2010 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at the Holton Cemetery at a later date.
