BAUER
NETAWAKA- Robert Wilson Bauer, 91, of Netawaka died Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Lexington Park Nursing Facility in Topeka.
He was born September 9, 1914 in Falls City, Nebraska the son of Edward and Ida Zentner Bauer. Robert had lived in the Netawaka and Wetmore communities from 1957 to 2002. He was a farmer and worked for Welliever Construction for several years. He later worked in the shipping department at B.M.B. Company in Holton for 16 years before he retired.
Robert had attended the Trinity Lutheran Church in Holton and the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Netawaka. He was currently a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Topeka.
He was married to Marceline Ruth Fehr on March 2, 1940 in Falls City, Nebraska. She survives. Other survivors include his daughters, Karon Gambrill of Oskaloosa, KS, Marcia Sorrell and her husband, Edmond of Murfreesboro, TN and Susan Koch and her husband, Denny of Topeka, KS, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Bauer and his brother, Dale Bauer.
Services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2006 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Netawaka. Burial will be in Netawaka Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
