Holton- R.J."Butch" John Immenschuh. 91, of Holton, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at a nursing home in Holton. He was born April 15, 1916 in Flush, KS the son of John and Emma Koenig Immenschuh.
He was a farmer and stockman for many years in the Carbondale and Jefferson County, he was a maintenance foreman for the athletic department at The University of Kansas, he was a mechanic and worked in construction laying carpet, he also raised cattle in Holton. He also enjoyed woodworking as a hobby.
Mr. Immenschuh married Thelma Hoy on March 4, 1940 in Bartlesville, OK. She survives. Other survivors include 2 daughters Nancy Faye MacEachern of Asheboro, NC, Melva Kaye Taylor of Topeka, KS; 1 son Larry Lee Immenschuh of Holton, KS; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Warren Leslie Immenschuh on January 11, 2007.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2008 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery.
