Obituary

Richard Lowell "Dick" Noblet, 82, of Holton, KS, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. He was born January 7, 1941 in Maryville, MO, the son of Robert Roland and Neva Marie (Linville) Noblet.

Dick proudly served in the United States Army and National Guard from 1956 - 1966 during the  Vietnam and Korean war. He graduated from Western State University in Gunnison, CO with a Bachelors Degree in History.

Dick taught middle school and high school classes in Ness City and later retired from Larnard State Hospital teaching special ed. After retirement he was a substitute teacher for Holton High School.

He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Holton, serving as Deacon.

Dick was a sports enthusiast and had a love of coaching and volunteering. He was also a lifetime outdoorsman.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Michelle Marino (Patrick) of Sioux Falls, SD and Shawna Jury of Lakin, KS; sister, Marcia Derr (Stan) of Mayetta, KS; 7 grandchildren, Madeline, Josephine, Isabella, Bryce (Angela), Iesha, Kelsey and Eric Lowell; 3 great-grandchildren, Lynnette, Ellianna and Addalynn and a nephew, Gerald "Gary" Carder (Amy) of Topeka.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Holton. Dick will lie in state at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton Wednesday afternoon until 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date at Grove Cemetery in Graham, MO. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
