Rhonda Gail Edwards, 60, of Holton, KS passed away October 10, 2013 at Holton Community Hospital. She was born February 21, 1953 in Miami, FL, the daughter of Harvey D. and Thelma L. (Bass) Carter.

Rhonda graduated from North Miami High School in 1971. She had lived in the Holton community since 1996. Rhonda was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Holton. She worked at Holton Country Mart as a pricing coordinator and managed Southside Liquor in Holton.

Survivors include her friend and companion, Douglas King of Holton; a son, Chad C. Edwards of Jacksonville, FL; 2 daughters, Alicia Cantrell of Lighthouse Point, FL and Jennifer Vega of Orlando, FL; a sister, Charlotte Carter of Port St. Lucie, FL; a niece, Michelle Composto of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Ronald Whitford Green and Harvey D. Carter, Jr.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in Florida at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Rhonda Edwards memorial fund to help with expenses.
