Obituary

Reeva Rae Plummer, 90, of Holton, KS, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, KS. She was born July 24, 1933 in Bern, KS, the daughter of Raymond E. and Golda L. (Baumgartner) Miller.

Reeva graduated from Bern High School and attended Ottawa University. She lived in the Holton community for over 56 years. Reeva worked for the federal government, retiring from Farmer's Home Administration.

She was a member of the Hoyt Baptist Church. Reeva was a Children's Sunday School teacher most of her adult life, and was a devoted pianist until she physically could not continue. She also enjoyed baking, playing the piano, and was an avid gardener.

Reeva married Gaylord Ward Plummer on December 21, 1952 in Bern, KS. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1997 after over 44 years of marriage. Reeva was a dedicated Preacher's wife. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Carrie.

Survivors include her 2 children, Darrel Plummer of Oklahoma City, OK and Gaylene Cook of Topeka, KS; sister, Twila Fae Rosenow of Grinnell, IA; grandchildren, Erik, Elle, Aaron and Christy and 2 great-grandchildren, Maverick and Beau.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at the Bern Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
