RAYMOND R. BRADLEY

GOFF- Raymond R. Bradley, 78, of Goff, KS died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at his home. He was born April 23, 1929 in Goff, the son of Walter Lewis and Edith Alvira Benander Bradley. He graduated from Goff High School in 1947 and lived most of his life in the Goff community.
Raymond served in the armed forces, first in the U.S. Army Air Corp and later in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 42 years. He worked in Kansas City for several years before becoming the Rural Mail Carrier in Goff. He also worked as a substitute bus driver for Wetmore and Goff schools. He was a member of the Goff United Methodist Church and the Goff Lions Club. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason in the Goff Masonic Lodge.
He was married to Barbara S. Johnson on October 8, 1953 in Natchez, MS. She survives. Other survivors include his daughters, Becky Lackey and Glen of Wetmore, KS, Diana Ashwill and Scott of Topeka, KS and Traci Bradley of Topeka, KS; his son, Mike Bradley and Janet of Overland Park, KS; his sister, June Johnson of Blue Eye, MO and his grandchildren, Brian, Scott and Jayme Lackey, Kristina and Heather Bradley and Ashley and Brett Ashwill. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Chuck Bradley and his sister Jeanne Powell.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery at Goff. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Goff E.M.S. or Holton Community Hospital Hospice c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
