RaVae Lynette Smith was born on June 2, 1978.  She passed away at her home in Fayetteville, Arkansas on December 28, 2023.  RaVae was the beloved daughter of Crystal and Gary Fitzner of Topeka, Kansas.

RaVae was born in Council Grove, Kansas and attended school there.  She moved to Manhattan, Kansas in third grade.  She enjoyed dancing from age 3 through eighth grade.  She attended and graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa.  She played the flute and was part of the Colorguard at Valley High School.  RaVae graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a minor in Human Relations.  She received an MBA from Phoenix University.

RaVae enjoyed running and completed a half marathon and last year completed a full marathon.  This past year she set a goal of running 1,000 miles which she just completed in December.   RaVae loved setting goals and then working to achieve them.

The light of RaVae's life was Rick, her yellow lab.  RaVae shared a picture of Rick and a text every morning with her mom.  This was RaVae's special way of sharing Rick and her life with her mom.

Since moving to Fayetteville RaVae worked from home as a recruiter for Pinnacle Career Institute, a trade school in Kansas City, Missouri.

RaVae had a lot of friends and acquaintances from all the places she lived.  RaVae was kind and loving to everyone she knew and loved helping others.

RaVae will be buried in the Netawaka cemetery in Netawaka, Kansas.
