Ralph William "Bill" Dunlap, 70, of Topeka, KS passed away Friday, January 6, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. He was born July 17, 1941 in Holton, KS the son of Jane Dunlap.

Bill served in the United States Army for 28 years, retiring as Sgt. First Class; serving both in Germany and Vietnam. He also worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Bill married Elke Manche on July 20, 1963 in Topeka. She survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Michelle Shopteese and her husband Russell of Meriden and Yvonne Hewitt; a son, Travis Dunlap; a grandson, Thomas Hawk Shopteese and a granddaughter, Cherrish Dunlap and 3 other grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tristan Wolf Shopteese.

The family would like to express its thanks to the Colmery O'Neil Veterans Hospital in Topeka and especially to Dr. Carol Padilla who provided outstanding care to Bill over many years.
